Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a preferred focus on Interpreting, Deaf Education/Culture/ASL Linguistics, or equivalent and/or national certification; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. The incumbent must demonstrate the highest level of fluency in ASL and other student/faculty preferred signing modalities as needed. Demonstrate fluency to facilitate communication across the college curriculum and other related venues both on and off campus. A high level of understanding of course content across the college curriculum to interpret specialized subject matter terminology, including but not limited to, medical, scientific, vocational, trades, etc. Ability to mentor interpreters in skill and professional development. Ability to work effectively in all technical, sensitive, and high-profile settings with Deaf students and/or Deaf faculty including: high level coursework, appointments, presentations, interactions with dean
