Minimum Qualifications: 1. Any master’s degree level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college where the coordinator is employed (In other words, a master’s degree in any subject in which Allan Hancock College offers tutoring. English, math, biology, and chemistry are the most frequently tutored subjects at Allan Hancock College.) OR a master’s degree in education, education psychology, or instructional psychology, or other master’s degree with emphasis in adult learning theory OR the equivalent per Board Policy 7211. 2. Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and community college students and of staff and students with disabilities.
