Minimum Qualifications: 1. Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry. OR 2. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a Chemistry or Biochemistry. AND 3. A Master’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Physics, Physics, Molecular Biology, or Geochemistry. OR 4. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Chemistry. (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990). OR 5. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence, as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form.
